Hot pepper jelly was popular in 1980s to mid-1990s and has remained popular in mid-west and southern states. Its most common use is to be poured over a soft cheese like cream cheese or goat cheese then eaten with crackers. Its always a big hit at parties. But in our home we love it as a glaze over meat or on cornbread.
